Ever present, ever absent: an island and the improbable. Contadora, 40km off the coast from Panama City, briefly, in 1979-1980 played host to the former Iranian royal family in exile. This abstract film essay recounts island life from the unnoticed observances of the bodyguard, José de Jesús Martínez (Chuchú). Philosophy, mathematics and logic inform his observations yet within this view of history emotion remains.
